Highway 1 ramp near Soquel closes due to smoke from nearby fire

SOQUEL, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 6/10/2021 2:20 p.m. Central Fire says all lanes of the highway have reopened.

PREVIOUS STORY: The California Highway Patrol says officers are working to close the 41st Avenue ramp of Highway 1 due to smoke from a nearby fire.

The fire was located near Soquel Drive and Gross Road. It is not on the highway. Central Fire reports that an RV caught fire in the area, but it is already out and crews are mopping up.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
