King City mobile home park could close

Residents at a King City mobile home park are facing some dire circumstances after a fire last October.

On Tuesday, the city said the California Department of Housing and Community Development is giving the park’s owner thirty days to clean up issues with sewage.

If that doesn’t happen, Mayor Rob Cullen said the property will be re-tagged, forcing residents out of their homes.

He also said it would be illegal for the owner to collect rent if the property isn’t up to code.
