Crews save sea otter pup at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

Members of the Sea Otter Research and Conservation team helped save an otter pup at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve Tuesday.

Visitors told reserve officials that an otter gave birth to twin pups, but was straining to handle them both so the Sea Otter Research and Conservation team was called in.

They saved one of the pups that was left to fend for itself.

The pup is now getting immediate care and the mother is taking care of the other twin pup.
