Woman fears for life after being chased by husband at a Scotts Valley Shopping Center
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of Kings Village Shopping Center in Scotts Valley Wednesday morning.
Police said a woman called 911 and reported her husband, Newell Scott Jensen, 34, was chasing her. She also told police she was hiding behind a building because she feared for her life.
Upon arrival, the victim told police Jensen fled the area in a vehicle prior to their arrival. She told police he had a shotgun with him in the vehicle.
Officers found the vehicle and found a concealed shotgun in the passenger compartment, according to police. Shotgun ammunition and rope were also located inside the vehicle.
Jensen was arrested for brandishing a firearm and for possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He was booked in the Santa Cruz County Jail.
