Police: Incendiary device found inside a Scotts Valley home

A suspect was arrested after Scotts Valley Police Officers found an incendiary device at the suspect’s residence Friday afternoon, according to police.

The Scotts Valley Police Department said officers responded to a call about a man with a gun at 2:10 p.m.

Police said after the suspect was taken into custody, items possibly related to an incendiary device was found at the home.

Police said members of the Santa Cruz County Bomb Team took custody of the items and were later detonated in the old Skypark Airfield as a precaution.

The incident remains under investigation.
