Shots fired at car on Highway 17

UPDATE 1-9-15, 2:49pm: The Sheriff’s Department says there is no active search going on for the suspects involved in a road rage incident that started in Santa Clara County.

UPDATE 1-9-2015, 1:55pm:

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department saysthe road rage incident began near a reservoir in Santa Clara County.

Deputies say the incident began on the Santa Clara County side of Highway 17 and that a pellet gun was used.

1-9-2015:

The California Highway Patrol and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff have issued a Be On the Lookout for a white Ford pick-up truck with two white men dressed in orange who may have shot at another car on Highway 17 Friday afternoon.

Reports are that the shooter was a passenger and three shots were fired at a Jeep driving northbound near Glenwood Drive.

The Jeep supposedly turned around on Highway 17 at Glenwood Drive and is now with deputies and CHP at a gas station in Scotts Valley.

No injuries have been reported.
