Hollister man pleaded guilty to arson

The Hollister Police Department reports Jason Wayne Spears pled guilty to a series of acts of arson for which he was arrested in 2013.

Police initially arrested Spears after someone saw him attempting to set a Gibson Station condominium on fire, according to the Hollister Police Department.

According to the authorities, Spears’ targets included several several small commercial and residential offices, such as medical offices and a condominium.

Hollister Police say Spears has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and was also ordered to pay restitution.
