Man arrested for possession of more than 100 stolen items

A 22-year-old man was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of controlled susbstance and violation of Probation Friday.

The Watsonville Police Department arrested Ernie Ortiz.

Police said an officer conducted a follow-up on some burglaries just after 10 a.m. A stolen credit card came up used at a local business by a suspect and after further investigation, the officer located the suspect at an apartment complex on the 100 block of Silver Leaf Drive, according to police.

Over 100 items of stolen property were found at the apartment, according to police. They said several people who lived nearby came to identify their property.
