Mudslides on Highway 1 in Big Sur

Big Sur residents have been concerned about mudslides with this week’s rain. On Wednesday night, they happened along Highway 1.

According to CHP, there are boulders on the road.

Crews put up barricades around mile marker 42. They plan to be back in the area Thursday morning to clear the mess.
