Former Soledad High School teacher jailed for molestation
A former Soledad High School teacher accused of child molestation will serve 365 days in county jail according to Monterey County District Attorney Dean D. Flippo.
Jacob Isaac Browne, 31, in addition will serve 4 years and 8 months on probation, will be prohibited from accessing the internet during probation and be required to register as a sex offender, said Flippo.
In April, law enforcement authorities were notified by a parent of a student attending a Soledad High School, that Browne, had sexually abused his daughter. Authorities say further investigation showed Browne solicited sexually explicit photographs of the teenager, sent sexually explicit texts to her and eventually abused her while on school grounds.
Flippo said Browne also admitted to the accusations and also admitted to have searched the internet specifically looking for child pornography.
