SPCA: 11 pets rescued from Greenfield home available for adoption

Eleven of the cats and dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Greenfield in July are now available for adoption at the SPCA for Monterey County.

That includes three dogs, six cats and two kittens. One of the cats, Morgana, had to have her left eye removed due to a serious infection caused by the conditions endured inside the house. Morgana is now available for adoption.

Three of the rescued cats have already been adopted into new homes.

More than 70 dogs, cats and kittens were seized from filthy conditions at an Apple Avenue home in late July; 45 of which were in such terrible condition that they had to be euthanized.

For more information about the available animals and how to adopt them, contact the SPCA at 373-2631 or visit their website.
