Police officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting on the 200 block of Oxford Avenue just after 9 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, they were informed there was one victim of a gunshot wound who had been taken to Mee Memorial Hospital by family members.
Police say the 26-year-old victim does not not live at the residence where the shooting occurred. He was having dinner with friends and family when a dark-colored vehicle was seen driving in front of the house. The car slowed down, and a passenger began shooting at the family. The car then continued down Oxford Avenue.
The victim was shot once in the back. He was evaluated at Mee Memorial and then transported to a Bay Area hospital. He’s expected to survive.
