Suspected car thief sought by authorities in Santa Cruz, Monterey counties

Authorities in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties are seeking a 28-year-old man suspected in numerous auto thefts, vehicle burglaries and possible identity theft in both counties.

Matthew Clark is approximately 5’9′, 150 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. There is an active $50,000 warrant for his arrest in Monterey County.

If you have information regarding Clark’s whereabouts, authorities ask that you contact the Santa Cruz County Auto Theft task force tipline at 465-7433.
