Natividad Medical Center CEO Weis stepping down Friday

Natividad Medical Center CEO Harry Weis is stepping down as of Friday, Monterey County officials said.

Weis has served as CEO for nearly six years and was a consultant with Huron Consulting Group prior to that.

In a statement released Wednesday, Weis said he is leaving Natividad to “pursue other healthcare options and opportunities in the exciting and emerging post healthcare reform environment.”

The Monterey County Board of Supervisors expects an interim CEO will be appointed on Monday.
