Salinas Police: Convicted felon found with meth, guns

The Salinas Police Department’s Violence Suppression Unit arrested 34 year old Jesus Cervantes Saturday, in the 200 block of Harvest Street for a felony warrant.

Cervantes is a convicted felon and was in possession of meth and a loaded firearm.

A search of his apartment turned up another handgun in his closet.

Cervantes was booked into the Monterey County Jail for charges including felon in possession of a loaded firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and his outstanding felony warrant.
