Hartnell College launching new iAgriculture program

The Agricultural Business and Technology Institute at Hartnell College is offering a new series of informational workshops called iAgriculture.

The workshops are aimed at providing an insider’s look at the agricultural industry in the Salinas Valley through field trips, hands-on activities and conversations with professionals.

Participants will visit a diverse range of local ag-related businesses, from strawberry growers, flower production companies, and vegetable transplant operations, as well as research facilities and companies focused on handling, packaging and marketing, among others.

The iAgriculture series includes a five-day session in August and monthly/bi-monthly half-day sessions in the fall. Any current or incoming Hartnell students as well as local high school students who have an interest in agriculture are welcome to attend, free of charge.

To sign up for the August 4-8 session, please contact Kristen Arps at karps@hartnell.edu or 755-6798, or register online.
