Santa Cruz County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission seeks applicants

The Santa Cruz County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission is seeking applications for membership.

The commission currently has vacancies in the 1st District (Live Oak, Soquel, Summit, and parts of Capitola,) 4th District (Watsonville and South County) and 5th District (San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley.)

The commission is a 10-member volunteer body appointed by the Board of Supervisors to advise the Board and the County Alcohol and Drug Program on alcohol and drug abuse issues through participation in the planning process, development of the goals and policies of the County Alcohol and Drug Program, public education, and review of legislation.

For more information about the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, contact Bill Manov, Ph.D., Alcohol and Drug Program Administrator, at 454-4220. Applications can be done online or by obtaining an application form from the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 701 Ocean St., Room 500, Santa Cruz.
