Update: Salinas police name suspect in deadly fight early Saturday morning

A 44-year-old woman was stabbed to death Saturday morning in Salinas, and police have arrested her boyfriend.

Saturday night, police report they have a suspect in the case in custody. He is 36 year old Florencio Anselmo of Salinas.

Police says Maria Ceja got into a fight with Florencio Anselmo on Central Avenue, a little after midnight Saturday.

The fight escalated and Anselmo, 36, stabbed Ceja in the chest.

Ceja was taken to Natividad Medical Center, where she later died, according to police.

Police say Anselmo was seen running from the scene.
