1,000 acre fire at Fort Hunter Liggett contained

The California Highway Patrol is reporting that a 1,000 acre wildfire that spread quickly Monday at Fort Hunter Liggett in Monterey County has been contained.

CHP shut down Nacimiento-Fergusson Road as crews fought the flames.

Just before 6 p.m. Monday, authorities said the fire had been contained.

There were no evacuations or injuries, but Nacimiento Ferguesson Road has since been reopened, according to CHP.
