Power restored to most of Aptos
10:17p.m. UPDATE: the number of customers without power is now at 1. That number was initially more than 1,200.
The estimated time of restoration for those still without power is 1 a.m. Thursday.
PG&E says the power went out because of old wires in the area.
Today was also what PG&E calls a “Smart Day”, where it encourages users to conserve electricity during peak times to avoid outages and to save them money.
