CHP identifies Watsonville man fatally struck by car

A 52-year-old man was killed Saturday in Watsonville when he was walking across State Route 129, California Highway Patrol officers said.

Jaime Quiroga Orozco was struck by a car around 10:45 p.m., which propelled him into the air before he collided with the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and her three 14-year-old passengers were not injured.

CHP is continuing to investigate the accident.
