Man arrested for counterfeit currency in Scotts Valley

A 41-year-old man from Fresno is behind bars after Scotts Valley police say they discovered drugs, a knife and evidence of counterfeit U.S. currency, according to police.

Officers say Richard Upshaw was wanted out of Fresno County for domestic battery charge.

During the search warrant, they said they also discovered a false California driver’s license among the counterfeit currency.

He was arrested on the warrant and numerous additional charges.
