Hit-and-run investigation in Gilroy

Gilroy police are asking the public for help following a hit-and-run accident Friday night.

Police say when they arrived to the incident at the intersection of 10th and Rosanna streets, they found a woman who had been hit by a car.

Officers say she was immediately taken to the hospital, where she is currently in serious, but stable condition.

Officers say the vehicle took off before police arrived.

The driver is said to have been driving a champagne-colored SUV, missing the driver’s side mirror, and was last seen traveling westbound on 10th Street away from the scene.
