One victim hospitalized following shooting in Hollister Sunday

Hollister police are investigating a shooting that happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday on the 800 block of Washington Street.

Officers say a fight escalated when one of the suspects retrieved a rifle and starting shooting. Police say the victim was shot three times and was later transported to a Bay Area hospital for medical treatment.

Police say they believe the shooting could be gang related.
