Police arrest suspected Santa Cruz Warriors burglar

After a week of searching, Santa Cruz police found and arrested Jeffery Blan in Gilroy over the weekend, suspected of burglarizing the Kaiser Permanente Arena.

Officers said a community tip led to the warrant for his arrest last week. That tip was based on a surveillance photo. Police say the burglar looked right at the surveillance camera before taking off with Warriors practice apparel that was not for sale to the public.

Police said Blan stole practice jerseys, a bag of shoes, t-shirts, shorts and some cash from the concessions stands.

He has an arrest history, dating back to 2001.
