Search Warrant Reveals New Details in Alleged Child Abuse Ca

3 putting a face to the names! we’ve seen their mugshots! but today – was the first time news cameras were able to capture eraca craig and christian deanda.### this afternoon— they sat in a salinas courtroom … responding to disturbing child abuse charges that have made national headlines … 3 tonight — prosecutors slapped on new charges!### i’m jasmine viel… i’m marc cota-robles.### the district attorney’s office added three more charges against the two women, accused of abusing three children. 3 craig and deanda now face *one felony charge of child imprisonment against the eight- year-old girl. this is on top of 2 misdemeanor charges of child abuse neglect involving the five and three year old… one of whom was a biological son of one of the women. their bail remains at 50 thousand dollars now. but, prosecutors want that increased to half a million dollars each. 3 central coast news reporter “ricardo navarro” wa in court this afternoon —- he joins us now with more on what happened… and ricardo, you have new information on what deputies found when they executed the “search warrant” on thei home? 3 the bail has not been increased yet — because craig’s public defender just received the case. but today i was able to get a copy of this search warrant that outlines disturbing details on what the kids told investigators about their alleged abuse. 3 *trt:outcue: over a long period of time:*00-07 according to a monterey county sheriff deputies report — it was two missed therapist appointments for the eight year old girl that led deputies to conduct a welfare check here on march 14th. the next day they served this search warrant — investigators were looking for evidence linked to any possible child abuse. among other things — deputies seized one chian with an electrical wire on the end. according to the warrant they found several belts, cameras, home school records and the reporting deputy says she found the eight year old girl looking quote haggard. the report says the girl was very thin weighing only 40 pounds, her finger tips and feet were a purple-ish color. the girl told investigators she was chiained up to a wall with a collar around her neck — she says her hair was shaved off and videotaped. — she also said christian deanda kept a journal of the 3 abuse. investigators did seize one journal. it gets even 3 more distrubing — the girl’s biological brother named john doe two — told investigators his “moms” told him to urinat on his sister because she soiled herself. investigators say the two boys told them they were not allowed to talk to the girl. the youngest reportedly told investigators he was ordered to spank the girl with his belt. deputies believe the two oldest children were abused over a long period of time. 3 this search warrant is more than twenty pages long– we’re still going through it to uncover more new information on this high profile case. i’ll have more from the warrant tonight at 6. — rn ccn
