Prescribed fire project underway near Arroyo Seco
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Officials with the U.S. Forest Service Monterey Ranger District said they are working on a prescribed burn project.
Crews are burning brush piles near Arroyo Seco, and officials say it is an effort to reduce fuels and potentially lower the intensity of any future wildfires.
They said the burns also help the area stay healthy and resilient.
