Former Marina Baseball Coach Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison

Billy Joe Seabolt was sentenced to eight years in state prison for the molestation of two pre-teen boys in November 2012 and January 2013.

Seabolt moved to Marina two years ago after leaving the Marines, said the district attorney’s officer. He was a Marina baseball coach, and became involved in the Marina Soccer Association assisting with the soccer equipment.

Seabolt pled guilty to two counts of lewd acts upon a child, and one count of child molestation. He will be required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life. Seabolt is also pending criminal charges in Illinois regarding similar criminal acts. He will be extradited to Illinois to face those charges following today’s sentencing.
