Nearly 4,000 PG&E customers without power in north Salinas, Prunedale

SALINAS, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 1/29/2021 2:20 p.m. PG&E reports that an outage that affected nearly 4,000 customers in north Salinas and Prunedale has been reduced to 1,665 customers in north Salinas.

PREVIOUS STORY: Pacific Gas and Electric reports that 3,882 customers are without power in north Salinas and Prunedale Friday afternoon.

The outage started at around 12:15 p.m., and PG&E reports that it appears the outage was caused by the weather.

An estimate of when power is expected to be restored has not been released.
