Monterey County firefighters begin receiving, administering COVID-19 vaccine

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey Firefighters Local 3707 said its firefighters have begun receiving and administering COVID-19 vaccines.

The union said this will allow them to continue serving without being interrupted by positive cases and protect those who are at-risk.

According to state guidelines, firefighters are listed as part of Phase 1b of vaccine distribution.
