MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) A Seaside couple has been found guilty of assaulting a man at the Monterey Lanes bowling alley back in 2018.

The Monterey County District Attorney's Office said 49-year-old Noah Boewer was found guilty of felony assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, and 38-year-old Tricia Boewer was found guilty of battery.

Investigators said the incident happened in June 2018. The Boewers were at the bowling alley to go bowling, and the victim was there to pick up registration forms for a charity fundraiser event.

As the victim left, the DA's Office said the Boewers were standing outside the front doors, and when the victim tried to walk past and said "excuse me," Tricia Boewer confronted him and yelled racial slurs.

The DA's Office said Noah Boewer tried to punch the victim, but he was able to block it, but then Tricia Boewer jumped on his back. After that, the DA's Office said Noah Boewer was able to punch the victim on the left side of his face, causing seven facial fractures, including a broken jaw.

The Boewer's are set to be sentenced on Jan. 6. Noah Boewer is facing a maximum of seven years in prison, and Tricia Boewer faces a maximum of six months in jail.
