Chevron donates $133,600 to nonprofits in Monterey County

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Chevron announced that it has donated $133,600 to Monterey County nonprofit organizations as part of its Aces for Access program.

The program is intended to help local students by funding nonprofits focused on serving youth through efforts to bridge the digital divide, STEM education and youth development programs.

The funding went to the following organizations:

  • Digital NEST, Inc.: $25,000
  • Hartnell College Foundation: $25,000
  • Loaves, Fishes and Computers: $25,000
  • Rancho Cielo: $25,000
  • First Tee (Digital Divide): $20,000
  • Future Citizens Foundation: $13,600

The donations were provided in conjunction with the 2020 PURE Insurance championship. Chevron said it has invested more than $400 million in education initiatives worldwide since 2013.
