Hollister nursing facility closed indefinitely for flooding cleanup

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION) The Mabie Northside Skilled Nursing Facility will be closed for an unknown amount of time for disaster remediation resulting from flooding Wednesday.

All residents were evacuated from the facility Wednesday afternoon and were moved to Mabie Southside Skilled Nursing Facility and Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital.

DKI Commercial Solutions has been brought in as the project manager for the cleanup process, and a spokesperson for Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital said the company has experience in hospital and medical facility damage restoration. They are waiting for the results of environmental testing to find out the extent of the damage.
