Multiple suspects wanted in connection to assault near Volz Lane
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is looking for three to five people wanted in connection to an assault.
The incident happened at around 5 p.m. near 7th Avenue and Volz Lane. The Sheriff’s Office said the man who was assaulted had significant injuries and was flown to a trauma center.
The suspects were seen running toward the harbor, and there was a shelter in place while the Sheriff’s Office searched for them.
The shelter in place has been lifted, but investigators are still looking for the suspects. They are described as a Hispanic man, an African-American man and a Hispanic or white woman.
