Suspect in Pebble Beach sexual assaults pleads guilty to charges
(KION) A Texas man has pleaded guilty to charges related to Pebble Beach sexual assaults, according to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office.
The man, 48-year-old David Walter Osborne, was in Pebble Beach on a golf trip visiting with two "high profile" friends when the assaults happened, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office. Detectives said the three people shared a hotel room, and that is where they believe the assaults took place. The other two people are not facing charges.
Osborne pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors, including false imprisonment and sexual battery.
The DA's Office said Osborne could spend a year in prison, but he could be doing it in Texas under home confinement. He may also face probation and an order to register as a sex offender.
Osborne is set to be sentenced on Sept. 15.
