State guidance for fitness facilities, places of worship updated
(KION) The State of California has updated its guidance for fitness facilities and places of worship to include required face coverings and other changes.
Fitness facility workers will only be allowed to return to work after a COVID-19 diagnosis if 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared and they have seen improvement, tell workers and patrons not to wear face coverings in pools and teach employees about the importance of physical distancing both at work and outside of work among other changes.
Places of worship will also only be able to allow a worker to return to work after a COVID-19 diagnosis if 10 days have passed since symptoms started, the symptoms have improved and they have not had a fever in the last 72 hours. Singing, chanting and other activities that could increase the likelihood of transmission will also need to be discontinued, according to the State, but it suggests that congregation members can use alternative methods, such as internet streaming, to perform those activities.
