SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Sheriff's Office said two Salinas gang members were arrested on weapon, drug and stolen vehicle-related charges Monday.

The investigation started when the Auto Theft Task Force and the Investigations Division found 47-year-old Rogelio Juarez allegedly driving a stolen vehicle in the 500 block of Brighton Street. He was arrested, and investigators went to search his home in the same block.

At the home, detectives said they found 39-year-old Felipe Vera, who they say had a million dollar arrest warrant out of Northern California for kidnapping, carjacking and robbery.

Detectives also said they found a pound of meth, evidence of drug sales, a large amount of money and a gun with an obliterated serial number.

Both were arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
