Vandals spray paint profanity, slogans on Mission Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) Santa Cruz police are looking for a person seen vandalizing Mission Santa Cruz and a memorial plaque in Mission Park Plaza.

During a protest in Santa Cruz Wednesday, police said a group was in the area of Emmet and High Streets near Mission Plaza Park and Holy Cross Church.

While there, they reportedly vandalized the mission and memorial plaque by spray painting profanity and slogans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Santa Cruz Police at 831-420-5820.
