Investigators look for potential Ben Lomond attempted carjacking victim

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is looking for someone who believe is a potential victim of an attempted carjacking Saturday.

Investigators believe it happened in the 10000 block of Highway 9.

The Sheriff's Office said the person the person pictured is a witness and did not participate in the crimes that happened Saturday. Investigators would like to speak to the person as a witness to a crime.

On Saturday, Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller was shot and killed in Ben Lomond and the suspect, Steven Carrillo, is accused of carjacking one person and attempting to carjack others after the incident.

The Santa Cruz County District Attorney's Office is also asking that anyone who saw what happened Saturday or has video or photos of any part of the incidents to come forward. They are asking for any relevant information about the case or the suspect.
