CHP: Another vehicle hit by projectile on Highway 101/156
PRUNEDALE, Calif. (KION)--The California Highway Patrol confirms one vehicle was hit by a projectile Saturday afternoon in the area around Highway 101 and 156 near Vierra Canyon Rd in Prunedale.
Monterey Area CHP Public Information Officer Jessica Madueno said the incident happened around 2:15 p.m. in the same area other vehicles have also been struck.
Madueno said one female driver's windshield was hit and cracked. No one was injured.
The CHP is also investigating two reports of vehicles, including a school bus, being hit by projectiles Friday night.
Madueno said a student on a school bus carrying the Carmel Unified School District football team was injured by shattered glass.
Madueno said there is a possibility Saturday's case could be related to other incidents that have happened near the area, but they do not know if it is related yet.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The CHP is asking the public to notify them of any information about the incident. They said victims should pull over when safe and call (831) 770-8000 during business hours or call 911.
