Two Santa Cruz County districts close schools on Thursday

The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District said its schools will be closed on Thursday during PG&E’s power shutoff.

The district said it does not know if schools will be closed on Friday yet and that it depends on when the power comes back on.

The Bonny Doon Union Elementary School District has also said it will be closed on Thursday. If power is restored, the schools will be open on Friday.

UC Santa Cruz canceled classes on Wednesday due to the planned outage.
