Crews investigating cause of fire at Master Car Wash in Capitola

CAPITOLA, Calif. (KION) Crews are investigating the cause of a fire at Master Car Wash early Thursday morning.

Capitola police said they saw smoke and flames coming from the back of the building at around 2:30 a.m.

The Central Fire Protection District and the Aptos La Selva Fire District responded to the scene and found a fire at the back of the building that burst up through the attic.

Police said the cause of the fire is under investigation, and investigators will be looking at security footage.
