Man arrested in connection to shooting on Crestview Court

MARINA, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 5/8/2020 10:15 a.m. Marina police said a man has been arrested in connection to a shooting on Crestview Court last month.

Police arrested 21-year-old Pearce Phan Thursday near Reservation Road and Ocean Terrace. Investigators said they were able to gather information using surveillance video from before and after the shooting.

Phan is booked into the Monterey County Jail and is facing attempted murder, assault with a gun, shooting into an inhabited dwelling and probation violation charges.

The shooting happened on April 22. Officers responded to the scene and found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 831-884-1210.

Police responded to a report of someone who had been shot on the 3100 block at about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.

When they got there, officers found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Witnesses told police that they saw a black pickup truck leaving the area after they heard gunshots.

Police are still investigating the incident and do not know if it is gang related. Anyone with information is asked to call Marina police at 831-384-7575.
