Watch: Monterey County farmworkers practice social distancing in strawberry field

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) United Farm Workers shared a video of Monterey County farmworkers harvesting strawberries while a Shelter in Place is in effect, and the organization pointed out how the workers are staying safe.

In the video, they are practicing social distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart.

Farmworkers are considered essential workers under the Shelter in Place order.

"Let's hear it for these farm workers to continue to work during the #COVID19 pandemic so we can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables," UFW said on social media.
