Downed power pole forces Canyon Del Rey Boulevard closure

DEL REY OAKS, Calif. (KION-TV): -- A downed power pole has forced Del Rey Oaks police to close off a portion of Canyon Del Rey Boulevard early Monday morning.

Police say a power pole was initially leaning just after midnight early Monday when a the top of a semi-truck's cab clipped a portion of the pole, dragging it down further.

Both directions of Canyon Del Rey Boulevard are closed now between Via Verde and Rosita. Police say the pole is leaning right out in front of city hall.

Police estimate they'll have the road back open for both directions around close to noon.
