Two arrested and charged with murder of Santa Cruz woman
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION)
UPDATE 4/2/2020 4:00 p.m. Two people have been arrested and charged with the murder of Santa Cruz resident Kimberly Smith.
Deputies with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on the 800 block of Graham Hill Road Tuesday and found Smith dead.
Investigators identified two people suspected of being involved in the murder, 23-year-old Caitlin Crenshaw and 23-year-old Cody Huynh, The Sheriff's Office said both are transients.
When detectives found Huynh, he was in jail in San Bernardino County for unrelated charges.
Crenshaw was also found in San Bernardino County, and investigators said she was in Smith's car.
The Sheriff's Office believes robbery was the motive for the homicide.
Both suspects were brought to the Santa Cruz County Jail and charged with murder and robbery.

UPDATE 4/1/2020 10:00 a.m. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is investigating a woman's death as homicide.
At around 11:30 Tuesday morning, deputies responded to a report of an unconscious woman at a home on the 800 block of Graham Hill Road and found her dead.
The woman is identified as 55-year-old Santa Cruz resident Kimberly Smith.
Detectives are looking for a suspect or suspects and are trying to find a motive. Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office at 831-454-7635.

At around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a person who had died at a home in the 800 block of Graham Hill Road.
