Salinas closes all city parks
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The City of Salinas said Wednesday that it is closing all city parks until further notice.
The city said it is an effort to protect the health and safety of children, youth and families.
"We want all residents to follow the California Governor's Shelter in Place order and the CDC guidelines regarding preventative measures. We can all do our part to flatten the curve and prevent further spread of COVID-19," said Library and Community Services Director Kristan Lundquist.
Families are encouraged by the city to take part in indoor activities.
