Hundreds without power in Prunedale

UPDATE 3/25/2020 10:15 a.m. The number of people without power has been reduced to less than 650 and is now mainly in the Prunedale area.

PG&E customers lost power in the Prunedale and north Salinas area at around 8:30 a.m., and there were more than 3,800 without power.

Those still without power are expected to have it restored by 12:30 p.m.

PG&E said the cause of the outage is still unknown.

PREVIOUS STORY: More than 3,800 people are without power in the area around north Salinas and Prunedale.

The outage reportedly started at around 8:30 a.m., and PG&E expects power to be restored at around 11:30 a.m.

PG&E said the cause of the outage is still unknown, but it has assigned a crew to assess the outage.
