Hollister man dies in crash on Fairview Road
HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION)
UPDATE 3/6/2020 3:10 p.m. A 49-year-old Hollister man has died as a result of a crash on Fairview Road north of Hillcrest Road Friday morning.
At about 7 a.m., the man was driving a Chevy pickup truck northbound when for an unknown reason, he crossed into the southbound lane of traffic, onto the right shoulder and hit a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The CHP is still investigating the crash, but investigators said they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor.

UPDATE 3/6/2020 2:00 p.m. A man in his 40s has died after a crash in Hollister Friday morning.
The CHP said the man was driving a Chevy pickup truck heading northbound on Fairview Road near Hillcrest when he crossed over the southbound lane, onto the shoulder and hit a tree.
The pickup truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash. Nobody else was in the truck.

It happened at Fairview and Hillcrest around 7 a.m.
CHP confirms at least one person has died but that was the only preliminary information they can offer at this time.
