University of California suspends study abroad in South Korea
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) The University of California’s education abroad program announced Thursday it is suspending the program in South Korea. The UCEAP said it is required by UC policy where a Department of State Travel Advisory level 3 or higher and a CDC Travel Health Warning Level 3 have been issued.
The program in Korea is canceled for the Spring quarter. UC Santa Cruz said nearly all of their study abroad programs are run through the UCEAP.
In January, all UC study abroad trips to China were suspended.
